Children’s Ministry

Westgate Free Will Baptist's children's department welcomes children ages four to 11.

The S.W.A.M.P
The S.W.A.M.P. Serving With A Mighty Purpose, is Westgate FWB's children's program.

The S.W.A.M.P. Children's Church meets Sunday Mornings at 10 AM for Sunday School and at 11 AM for services. The director is our Pastor's wife, Tonya Smith along with volunteers (varying weekly). Our number one goal is to Introduce your children to Jesus Christ as soon as we can. The leaders of the program try to make their learning process as fun and interesting as possible.

On Wednsday nights, The S.W.A.M.P. is instituting the Awanas program.

Driven For Christ Youth Group
Driven for Christ Youth Group meets every Sunday morning for Sunday School at 10 AM, every Wednesday and Sunday night under the leadership of our youth pastor Brother Joey Mills and his wife Jewel. Our goal is to introduce teenagers from the age of 12 to 19 years old to Jesus, teach them lifetime habits that will help them develop their relationship with Christ, and show them how to fulfill the Great Commission. Our youth group has seen tremendous growth in the past four years. God has allowed us to lead 65 youth to the Lord since August of 2006! The group size usually averages between 25 and 30 youth.

Other activities for the youth include different trips throughout the year, fundraisers, skits, sign language and many other areas of ministry.

Nursery
Since Westgate has become a church that is full of young families it is important that we have a good nursery. As a guest of Westgate you can feel confident in leaving your child (up to three years old) in a well equipped and staffed nursery.
